Happiness is ... a mountain of cup cakes

Yes that's right, cup cakes are simply the best. Well the best sweet treat after the now, 'once a week bought lunch' (getting married and growing up comes with change!)

The cup cake is basically a mini cake (mud, velvety smooth chocolate, light fluffy sponge, etc.) topped with SWEET sugary icing - no I didn't press the caps key by mistake. The mixture of well-made moist cake and heavenly icing is simply divine; not everyone's cup of tea but would certainly go well with one!

Happiness is ... watching the cricket in a lounge chair

Recently lunching with a friend, first week back from Christmas holidays. We bought the large curry combination with all the extras, then proceeded to Federation Square to find a comfy spot to sit and enough our meals. As those of you that frequent fed sq., they often provide added-extras for the enjoyment of travellers and tourists that visit. On this occasion, they had setup a couple of large sun umbrellas and two sets of canvas and wooden framed sun deck chairs.

The photo to the right, is taken from behind my friend head. He's finishing his chow whilst watching the cricket on the BIG screen. WOW, what a welcome oasis during a typical work day. THANKS fed sq. and your many creative minions for the deluxe service you provide :-)

Happiness is ... Eggs and Bacon

 

Just devine - eggs and bacon for breakfast.  Well actually, to be more specific - good quality sour dough bread, fresh Christmas off-the-bone ham and free-range eggs cooked so the yocks are still a river of gold. Seasoned to taste.

This would have to be one of my favourite meals.  Something I never get sick of eating.

This meal was made on Christmas eve morning and was a very welcome offering by my father.  Oh for Christmas and family....

Happiness is ... licking the cake spoon

Remember those days when you were a kid. Was there not some special kind of freedom in the moments you lost yourself and forgot time existed. No past, no future, just the present! For me one of those delicious occasions was licking the spoon after mum had made a cake, especially chocolate.
